Mimi Bior
Born in the UK but of South Sudanese heritage, Mimi Bior studied the Korean martial art of Tae Kwon Do for many years, but then discovered a love of West African dance in her early teens after attending classes run by the founding members of Ekomé.
Mimi went on to learn from teachers from Ghana, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Guinea and Senegal, visiting Africa many times of over the last few years.
She has taught and performed across the UK. Whilst busy carving a second career in business, she rocked the UK Sabar dance scene and appeared in a dance film as well appearing across the UK at venues such as the Barbican and many of the top festivals on the summer circuit.
Mimi is the newest addition to Hamana and brings her beauty, natural talent and dedication to our company. Welcome Mimi!
